Why we love this Wine
Rosa dei Frati wears the monks' name but there's nothing devout about it — Ca' dei Frati's take on Lake Garda rosé, built from Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera rather than the usual suspects. Six months on fine lees in steel keeps it taut, not flabby. Pale salmon in the glass, all wild strawberry, redcurrant and a citrus snap on the finish, with a faint savoury slurp. Bone dry, properly refreshing, built for the warm months by the water.
