Why we love this Wine

Keeping it in the fam, owner Antonia Guardabasso and her daughter-in-law Veronica Gentoli helm Biscaris, an 11 acre biodynamic estate in Sicily's only DOCG, Cerasuolo di Vittoria. They capitalise on the mineral-rich volcanic terroir, with pure, focused fruit expression. Nil fining, nix filtration, just keeping it proudly old school (no school like it). The Frappato is super fresh, scents of raspberry and lemon curd, nice bit of texture on the mid-palate. Basically the Sicily special: quenching, characterful, and dangerous to keep on hand. Fill the fridge.
