Why we love this Wine
Legs eleven, this is a wine that goes all the way up. Medium of bod, with a salty lick and lovely, mouthfilling roundness. Spring melons, buzzy citrus, cashew. Inzolia (or Ansonica) is one of Western Sicily's signature grapes, once primarily used in the fortified wines of Marsala, but as a crisp, dry white there's a whole lot to love. A relative of Grillo, with its own thing going on. The grapes are unusually high in tannin for a white, but can lose acidity late in the season. A challenge for winemakers, but one that's being embraced with some spectacular results.
