The Bera family winery sits between Alba and Asti in Piedmont, hallowed ground indeed, and put to great use right here. Organic, traditional, elegant Barbera, just like mama used to make it. Rich ruby. Great balance between tart cranberry character and meatier, earthy flavours. A signature savoury style from one of the region's most eminent producers, the 2022 being a standout vintage of the past five years. Definitely a wine that will reward careful cellaring, if you can manage it.
