Dingač and Postup sound invented until you see them — vineyards bolted to near-vertical cliffs above the Adriatic, so steep the grapes once came out through a tunnel blasted into the mountain. Basina farms it fully organic, no irrigation, sulfur only in April, nothing to get between the vine and that southern exposure. Picked slightly early off younger vines for lift, grapes left on skins in open vats with manual punchdowns, ten months in used French oak. Plum, fig, blueberry, a savoury oceanic whiff the locals can't live without. Rich, soft-tannined, and as edgy as the cliffs it hails from.
