Laura Rizzotto is the second gen custodian of Balestri estate, not to mention dedicated beekeeper and champion of organic viticulture. In Balestri tradition, her range emphasises the diverse potential of vineyards that sit 180-300m above sea level, where dark volcanic soils offer a grower endless potential for contrasting styles. The Volkanus is a highlight of the Balestri range: superfine fizz, 100% Garganega (the grape you may know from Soave Classico). Racy, refreshing and a little tart, with pronounced mineral character and a restrained floral nose. Explosive stuff.
