Why we love this Wine
We love a little Italian Rosé. Hailing from Toscana, Rosato di Ampeleia is a clever fusion of two grape personalities. Carignan must takes on whole clusters of Alicane Nero, infusing through fermentation to release moreish tart raspberry, strawberry, blood orange and garden herbs, while hanging onto some of those textural, skinsy tannins. The result is a perfect aperitif - serve lightly chilled rather than ice cold.
