Why we love this Wine
Álvaro Palacios arrived in Gratallops in 1989 when Priorat was all but forgotten, and spent the decades since putting old Garnacha and Cariñena vines back at the centre of the conversation. Camins del Priorat is his doorway in — fruit pulled from llicorella slate terraces across several villages, Garnacha and Cariñena mostly with varying amounts of Syrah for shape. Dark cherry, blackberry, a subtle whack of dried herb and warm spice, fine-grained tannin rolling by. A playful meet and greet with big dogs of Spanish wine.
