The siren's song is loud in the glimmering ruby depths of this Nero d'Avola by McLaren Vale's Alpha Box & Dice. Black cherries and blood orange are underscored with earthy tannin from 20% whole bunches in the skinsy wild ferment. Full and spontaneous malolactic fermentation has smoothed out any rough edges on this Italian-ish red; the finish is beautiful, dusty and fragrant.
