Why we love this Wine
This particular Italian beauty hails from Alcamo in Sicily, more precisely from the clayey soils of the contrada Pietra Rinosa, down the valley from Mount Bonifato. It’s made from 100% Grillo grapes by Sicilian wine maestro Alessandro Viola and it’s a lovely natty-edged white wine farmed organically under the appellation Terre Siciliane IGT. Crisp and nervy with bright citrus/pear fruits and a wicked saline twang to the sapid acid line.
