Here, A-Rodd turns his attention to the Willow Lake vineyard in the Yarra Valley, planted in 1979 around 270 metres ASL. It’s a beautifully composed Chardonnay, nervy and focussed with great clarity and purity of fruit. It’s all grapefruit and white peachy greatness; a little spice, a little gunsmokey reduction and a lot of textural, sapid, lip-smacking ‘hell-yeah-ness” that gets you leaning for another sip.
