Why we love this Wine
For Taras Ochota, ‘weird’ is a compliment. He openly says his approach to this wine is taking the methods you’re taught to do when making an aromatic white wine and doing the opposite. Punk rock winemaking, meaning 2-3 days on skins, with natural yeasts and six months seasoned French barriques. Not your usual Gewürztraminer treatment, but offering a savoury, textured layer to the welcome berry and citrus notes. Weird? Sure. Delicious? Very sure.
