This ‘Village’ designated Yarra Valley Pinot Noir in the Mac Forbes quiver hails from an East facing within a smaller valley that runs from Yarra Junction to Poweltown - cooler, later-ripening, nervy and purely formed. The fruit characters here are in the redder spectrum; cherry, redcurrant, plum and some higher tones of raspberry sneaking in. It’s got a swift, spacious mouthfeel, light on its feet, comfortable in its own skin and its terrific drinking.
