A rare find. Nebbiolo’s Ma, the oldest and last indigenous Piedmont grape is on show here. A clean and fresh nose leads you down the garden path a little to a light-bodied yet gutsy palette with red fruit and a grunty farmyard element on show. The Borgogno family are huge Freisa fans, as are we. Buy one to try alongside your Barolo.
